My services
Pulmonary function test
Spirometry, a basic examination of lung function, can quickly and painlessly detect changes in the airways that may indicate lung disease.
Hospital aftercare
I am at your disposal after a stay in hospital. Whether it is for a check-up, for further care or because you still have questions that have remained unanswered due to everyday hospital life.
Shortness of breath
Shortness of breath can occur at rest or during exercise. The cause may lie in the airways or lung tissue - but also in other organs and should be investigated by a multidisciplinary team.
Smoking advice
Unfortunately, quitting smoking on your own is rarely successful. Nicotine replacement therapy, on the other hand, has proven its worth. I will be happy to advise you on the various options for assistance.
COPD
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, like asthma, is a chronic inflammation of the airways caused by external stimuli (the most common of which is cigarette smoke). Regular monitoring by means of lung function and imaging is necessary in order to detect progression in good time and adjust therapy accordingly.
Cough
Cough can be acute (up to 2 weeks), subacute (2-8 weeks) or chronic; dry or productive. Each form can limit the quality of life temporarily or in the long term. There are a variety of causes such as: Allergies, infections, other internal diseases such as heartburn or fine dust pollution. I support you in finding the cause in order to contribute to a successful therapy.
Asthma clarification
Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammation of the airways that leads to coughing or shortness of breath. We know that there are different phenotypes of bronchial asthma. These can be determined by extended examinations. The aim of asthma therapy is to control the asthma, prevent acute events and enable an unrestricted life with asthma.
Post Covid treatment
Post Covid is the term used to describe symptoms that persist for up to 3 months after a Covid-19 infection. A Covid-19 infection can lead to a protracted or prolonged course. In pulmonology, a chesty cough or shortness of breath on exertion is often found. As a former manager of a post-Covid ward, I know how to recognize these symptoms and accompany you on your rehabilitation journey.

Philosophy
“Our breath affects our mind. Our mind affects our breathing. Mind and breathing are one. Our breath should be light, even and inaudible. It should flow gently like a stream running over fine sand into the sea.” – Thích Nhất Hạnh
In my practice as a lung specialist, I am convinced that it is important to talk to my patients at eye level, to listen to them and to provide them with as much information as possible in order to promote their lung health.

FAQs
Questions & Answers
Do I have to make an appointment?
To ensure short waiting times and sufficient time for patient consultations, it is necessary to make an appointment. You can do this online by clicking on the “Make an appointment” button and booking in at the ideal time for you. Alternatively, you can also make an appointment by telephone, e-mail or contact form.
What do I need to take with me to the first appointment?
I ask you to bring all your previous findings (in particular examinations of the lungs such as lung X-rays or lung CT (thorax CT) findings including CD Rom, lung function tests, laboratory findings, doctor’s letters from hospital stays or visits to other surgeries, heart examinations, etc.).
How does the first ordination work?
The first step is a detailed anamnesis interview about your current complaints and previous illnesses as well as a physical examination. Many lung diseases are caused by external influencing factors, which are also asked about in a confidential consultation. An individual treatment plan is then developed and – if necessary – further examinations are carried out.
Do I need a bank transfer?
As I am an elective doctor, you do not need a referral.
How can I cancel the appointment?
If you have booked your appointment online via Latido, you can also cancel it online. Alternatively, you can also cancel the appointment by telephone. We ask you to cancel as early as possible so that the appointment can be allocated to other patients. You will receive a reminder text message and a reminder email, if desired. I ask for your understanding that a cancellation fee will be charged for no-shows who do not cancel their appointment in good time (48 hours before the appointment).
Which insurances do you accept?
As an elective doctor, I have no contract with health insurance companies and bill on a fee basis. This means that you initially pay the costs of medical treatment yourself. You can then submit an application for reimbursement to your health insurance company. For those medical services that are also paid for by panel doctors, you will receive the panel rate minus the statutory excess. The insurance companies do not reimburse the costs of services that are not included in the tariff catalog. If you have supplementary insurance, you can also submit the invoice to them afterwards and, depending on your individual insurance conditions, you may receive a corresponding reimbursement.
What costs will I incur?
I charge a fee of €180 for the initial consultation, which includes a detailed medical history, spirometry and a physical examination. Further costs incurred depend on your individual treatment plan. You will receive information on this during our personal consultation. If you have any questions about the fees, please do not hesitate to contact me.
