My services
Pulmonary function test
Spirometry, a basic examination of lung function, can quickly and painlessly detect changes in the airways that may indicate lung disease.
Sleep apnea
Do you suffer from snoring, daytime tiredness or breathing interruptions? These symptoms may indicate sleep apnea. We use a polygraph to examine your breathing in the comfort of your own home in your usual sleeping environment.
Shortness of breath
Shortness of breath can occur at rest or during exercise. The cause may lie in the airways or lung tissue - but also in other organs and should therefore be examined by a multidisciplinary team.
Smoking advice
Unfortunately, quitting smoking on your own is rarely successful. Nicotine replacement therapy, on the other hand, has proven its worth. I will be happy to advise you on the various options for assistance.
COPD
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, like asthma, is a chronic inflammation of the airways caused by external stimuli (the most common of which is cigarette smoke). Regular monitoring by means of lung function and imaging is necessary in order to detect progression in good time and adjust therapy accordingly.
Cough
Cough can be acute (up to 2 weeks), subacute (2-8 weeks) or chronic; dry or productive. Each form can limit the quality of life temporarily or in the long term. There are a variety of causes such as: Allergies, infections, other internal diseases such as heartburn or fine dust pollution. I support you in finding the cause in order to contribute to a successful therapy.
Asthma clarification
Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammation of the airways that leads to coughing or shortness of breath. We know that there are different phenotypes of bronchial asthma. These can be determined by extended examinations. The aim of asthma therapy is to control the asthma, prevent acute events and enable an unrestricted life with asthma.
Post Covid treatment
Post Covid is the term used to describe symptoms that persist for up to 3 months after a Covid-19 infection. A Covid-19 infection can lead to a protracted or prolonged course. In pulmonology, a chesty cough or shortness of breath on exertion is often found. As a former manager of a post-Covid ward, I know how to recognize these symptoms and accompany you on your rehabilitation journey.

Hospital aftercare
I am at your disposal after a stay in hospital. Whether it is for a check-up, for further care or because you still have questions that have remained unanswered due to everyday hospital life.

Philosophy
“Our breath affects our mind. Our mind affects our breathing. Mind and breathing are one. Our breath should be light, even and inaudible. It should flow gently like a stream running over fine sand into the sea.” – Thích Nhất Hạnh
In my practice as a lung specialist, I am convinced that it is important to talk to my patients at eye level, to listen to them and to provide them with as much information as possible in order to promote their lung health.
